The L and R signal passes direct through the monitor X32 and comes out 15 and 16 on the 2d S-16.
The monitor X32 controls the gain on the preamps. There seems to be more than one way to do this. We have had this setup in a test environment and used suggestions from Behringer and several others.
Our first big gig is coming up this Labor Day using two X32's and two S-16's.
ThanksĮddie, This is exactly what we are doing. What do you guys think? Any input or opinions are appreciated. This will save us time setting up and eliminate most if not all our outboard gear AND finally get rid of that heavy, bulky splitter snake!! I think this is quite possible but would like to ask if anyone here has done this? I also know that one X32 has the ability to run both FOH and Monitor with the Behringer P16 "mini" mixers but we are trying to keep the setup old school as we are still wanting to keep a sound guy at each end. SO.our plan is to get (2)Behringer X32 consoles, and (2) Behringer S16 Digital snake systems to have 32 input channels and 16 returns all linked via CAT5e cabling. Our goal is to have this same setup, only digital. Now.our old setup was your typical anolog FOH console, anolog Monitor console with an anolog splitter snake going to both consoles.

We are looking to upgrade to digital and are looking at the Behringer X32 console with the Behringer S16 Digtial Snake system that is actually made to "team up" with the X32. Thoughts? Thanks so much for the comments.I'm new here but have been doing sound for quite some time now. Now it only works locally, and as I said, the snake (S32) tested fine with another console. I would just choose "Load B Routing" on the label tab and it would work. It's always behaved strangely and required reboots to get B sync, with A never going away. My only thought is that the A output on the console is damaged somehow.

But it's Allen and Heath, and far superior, in my opinion.Ī firmware update is again, my next step, but if factory reset doesn't work I am worried that the firmware won't either. I have been mixing for ages and never had any problems with the other digital snake I work with at a church. I have tried multiple cables and configurations and am completely stumped. That red indicator by "X32C" just will not go away. I set it all up locally with no issues, and plan on running it with an ipad this weekend, but has anyone ran into this problem? I left a message with Behringer but have never seen anything like this. Also, there will be meter flashes on channels 1, 3, and 4, for no apparent reason, with nothing hooked to the console. It also wouldn't recall the scenes I had saved to a Flash drive-every one I recalled looked exactly like the one I use the most. So, obviously something wrong with the console? I tried a cheaper cable with his and still had no issues.

I had a friend bring his full X32 in last night, and it synced perfectly to both sides of the snake. I will get a flashing "n/n" on the A channel, and just nothing on B. The only way I COULD get sync, was to have the console on A, and the Snake on B, which didn't produce noise. Anyway, this week, I completely lost the ability to get sync. The store never invests money in sound, and I have been asking for a Cat 5E or 6 for months. When I switch, boom, sync to B, but the "X32C" always remained on the A indicator.Ī few weeks later, I started having to reboot several times to get sync, but it would usually work. They have cheaper Cat5 cables so I did some digging and read that B handled cheaper cables better, for whatever reason. Then, I started getting a red light on the A channel. The A side always came up as X32C with a green indicator, No problems for a month or more. One of my clients is a Wild Wing who got an X32 Compact and an digital snake not too long ago.
